Eccrine spiradenoma as a differential diagnosis in chronic soft tissue lesions of the foot

چکیده
The aim of this article is to highlight the importance of Eccrine Spiradenoma (ES) in the differential diagnosis of chronic soft tissue lesions of the foot. These include a broad spectrum of nonneoplasm lesions, as well as benign and malignant neoplasms. Benign tumours include deep fibromatosis, neurogenic tumours, lipoma, haemangioma, synovial proliferations, and exceptionally rare on foot, skin adnexal neoplasms as the benign neoplasm Eccrine Spiradenoma. Skin adnexal tumours are a diverse group of benign and malignant neoplasms, which exhibit morphological differentiation towards one of the different types of adnexal epithelium present in normal skin: pilosebaceous unit, eccrine and apocrine.1,2

We diagnosed a eccrine spiradenoma on a 55-year-old man with histopathologic confirmation upon biopsy followed by complete resection, who had visited our clinic with a chief complain of occipital scalp mass. The solitary eccrine spiradenoma occurring in the scalp is rarely to be seen and should be ...
متن کاملEccrine Spiradenoma Arising in the Breast Misdiagnosed as an Epidermal Inclusion Cyst
Eccrine spiradenomas are rare, benign, cutaneous tumors that originate in the sweat glands. Eccrine spiradenomas in the breast are very rare and only a few cases have been reported. We report here on the case of a 47-year-old woman with superficial masses in the breast and these masses had gradually increased in size during follow-up. They were confirmed to be an eccrine spiradenoma on patholog...

SUMMARY We report a rare case of cystic eccrine spiradenoma in the finger. A 46-year-old man presented with a cystic mass in his left index finger. Clinical assessment along with the investigation pointed toward a diagnosis of a ganglion. However, excisional biopsy of the mass revealed histopathological findings of cystic eccrine spiradenoma. Very few cases of eccrine spiradenoma have been repo...
متن کاملMultiple Segmental Eccrine Spiradenoma with a Zosteriform Pattern: A Case Report and Literature Review
Eccrine spiradenoma usually occurs as solitary tender nodules. However, it rarely occurs as multifocal localized tumors or has zosteriform distribution. We report the case of a 32-year-old woman with a 20-year history of itchy lesions on the left side of the back and forearm with a zosteriform distribution. Before disease onset, almost no patients have inducing factors, but our patient received...
